About Krishna Gopal

Dr. Krishna Gopal is a highly regarded senior consultant in Imaging and Fetal Medicine, with years of experience working in Delhi and NCR. His journey in Radiology commenced in 2001 when he secured admission to the M.D. (Radiodiagnosis) program after achieving a high rank in the PG entrance exam. During his M.D. studies, he was honoured with the prestigious “Best Poster Award” at the national ultrasound conference “USCON XII” held in Kolkata in 2002. He also emerged as a quiz winner in a competition conducted by SGPGIMS, Lucknow, during an MRI course.

After completing his postgraduate education, Dr. Gopal pursued further training in Mumbai under esteemed mentors, where he honed his skills. Following his training, he served as a Lecturer and MRI in-charge at D.Y. Patil Medical College in New Mumbai. In 2005, Dr. Gopal relocated to Delhi and NCR, joining the esteemed NMC – VIMHANS in both New Delhi and Noida branches, where he worked for approximately two years.

He also gained experience at Apollo Hospitals in New Delhi. In 2006, Dr. Gopal joined Yashoda Super Speciality Hospital, Kaushambi, East of Delhi, as a Consultant and Head of Department. Despite the demanding nature of private practice, he remains committed to his academic pursuits by being an active member of various academic associations, organising and chairing conferences, and delivering lectures at different academic platforms. His association with the Fetal Medicine Foundation in London has provided him with extensive training in fetal ultrasound, fetal colour Doppler, and 3-D/4-D anomaly scans. Dr. Gopal was also among the pioneers in establishing Interventional Radiology.

Dr. Gopal believes that for doctors, training and learning are never complete. In 2011, he worked in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Singapore General Hospital. He later established and served as a Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Fetal Radiology at Pushpanjali Crosslay Hospital in Vaishali, which has since become Max Hospital, Vaishali. Dr. Gopal is a member of the executive committee of the Society of Fetal Medicine, serving as a national faculty member and speaker. He is also a faculty member in various national and international teaching and training programs in Fetal Medicine.

Dr. Gopal runs a state-of-the-art Fetal Medicine clinic in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, named “Dr. Krishna Gopal’s Advanced Diagnostics.” He is one of the founding members of the Society of Fetal Medicine, where he served as a central executive member for many years before being elected as Joint National Secretary, National Secretary, and then National Vice President. Additionally, Dr. Gopal initiated a six-month Fellowship in Fetal Medicine. He established the Apex Institute of Fetal & Reproductive Sciences with Dr. Ashok Khurana, which is one of the most reputable institutes for learning Fetal Radiology, Fetal Interventions, and Fetal Medicine. The Apex Institute and Advanced Diagnostics operate in the same building, with the former on the second floor and the latter on the ground basement respectively.

Dr. Krishna Gopal also owns a satellite fetal medicine centre in Raj Nagar Extension, Ghaziabad, called Adwait Diagnostics, which is run by his wife, Dr. Kalpana.
